David Korteweg

David is a policy advisor at the digital rights organization Bits of Freedom, focusing on privacy and freedom of communication online. He manages the complaint Bits of Freedom filed with the Dutch Data Protection Authority over the advertising industry's use of real-time bidding. Before he joined Bits of Freedom, he was a lawyer for five years specializing in IT law, privacy and telecommunications law, at the law firm Kennedy Van der Laan in Amsterdam. He studied law at the University of Amsterdam, New York University and Utrecht University.
